Took my girlfriend to Firekeepers Casino during her visit to the north.
If you have not been I suggest that you give it a try. This is our choice of a place to stay and play when not going to Vegas. Have always found the dealers and hosts to be very friendly. The Casino is small and easy to navigate. Not a huge amount of high end food but what there is is very good. The Buffet I think is better than other places such as Soaring Eagle and matches in quality some of the mid range places in Vegas. Sometimes you just want to chill in your movie after hours of gambling and there is minimal in room entertainment. I wish there was a larger TV and pay per view movies. The tile in the bathroom is looking a little worn which is a small thing but should be corrected if they want to be upper tier IMO. It is very comfortable and has the usual amenities. The Hotel is good but falls short of great. I have found they often offer discounts or even free nights for even lower tier gamblers like myself. The Hotel is good and a nice place to stay. Easy drive from Grand Rapids, Detroit, Lansing or Kalamazoo. It literally sits in the middle of a field right off the highway. What makes this different from the other casino properties in the lower peninsula of Michigan? First it is very easy to get to.
